Let’s go for a walk around Koganecho with Mr. Patrick Shields during his stay in Koganecho. Hopefully, you can feel how the town changes with the time while we introduce you various things both visible and invisible.

Trained as an architect and graphic designer, Patrick Shields is in engaged in a cross-disciplinary practice in art, design, and architecture. Past projects have focused on research into emerging energy systems, material and fabrication methodologies, product design, and robotics. These works have continued in parallel with a practice in academia through teaching and curriculum development. He maintains a variety of collaborations with architecture firms in a freelance capacity. The Management of clients has ranged across the fields of fashion, jewelry, restaurant design, art installations, educational institutions, non-profit, as well as government agencies. He has worked throughout the United States, New Zealand, and Europe. His artistic practice consists of experimental drawings, collage, objects and installations.

After completed the course at Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College in 2004, she worked as a curatorial staff at Yokohama Triennale 2005. Currently, she is working as an art program planner at Koganecho Bazaar, the art festival held at Koganecho every fall since 2008. Collaborating with artists in Southeast Asian countries such as Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, she is exploring various possibilities of artist-in-residence.
